I emerge from the hold, and hide my eyes from the light of the watch lantern. 

The deck moves beneath my feet. I leave it and take to the rigging.

He's in his cabin. The music stops.  The other man soon leaves.

I make my way to the aft portal, paned in with glass and curtains.  We are both out of our element.

He paces.  His arms move through the air in front of him, his hands punching the air rhythmically.  He still hears the music.  And the creak of wood.

A worthy adversary.

The white caps are not cherry blossoms.
